1.Application:

Flat steel flat bar point to the the steel that the width is 12-300 mm, the thickness is 4-60mm

thick, and cross section is rectangle with the edge of a little pure steel.

Main use: flat as timber can be used in the system of hoop iron parts, tools and machinery.

It also can be used as frame structure and escalator.

Flat Bar is used for general fabrication, making structures and frames.

Mild Steel Flat Bar can be easily cut and drilled, and is particularly suited to welding.

Heat Treatment

Perheat treatment
1.Annealing:heating temperature 840-860°C ,heat preservation 2 hours ,cool slowly in furnace,
hardness ≤ 217 HBS.
2.Normalizing:heating temperature 850-900°C ,air cooling .
3.High temperature tempering :heating temperature 680-700°C,air cooling,hardness ≤ 217 HBS.

Quenching and tempering
1.Quenching: heating temperature 840-880°C,oil cooling, hardness ≥ 53 HRC .
Tempering : heating temperature 450-650°C ,air cooling ,hardness 25-40 HRC.
2.Induction quenching :heating temperature 900°C,emulsion cooling,surface hardness ≥ 53 HRC .
Tempering :160-180°C,air cooling ,hardness ≥ 50 HRC .
