5.Characteristic:The ASTM5140 Is most commonly used alloy structural steel, tensile strength, yield strength and hardenability than 40 Steel. ASTM5140 surface hardening can be used for high load and wear resistance.

6.Application: Used in the manufacture of mechanical parts to withstand medium-load and medium-speed work. After quenching and low temperature tempering for manufacturing withstand heavy-duty, low-impact and abrasion resistance, the entities cross section thickness less than 25mm of parts. After quenching and tempering and the high-frequency surface hardening for manufacturing parts having a high surface hardness and abrasion resistance without a great impact.

7.Process flow: Electric arc furnace melting→Refining furnace → Vacuum treatment furnace → Cast ingot → Steel ingot anneal → Heating → High-speed forging,refining forging → Anneal,retarded cooling,air cooling → Quenching and tempering tretment → Finishing operation → Text → Finished products
